Introduction

Welcome to the Troop 777 Boyscout blog.
This is a way to keep friends and family, as well as scouts up-to-date on all of our activities.

This blog will be about some of the fun things we do as scouts.

Please feel free to leave a comment. We enjoy hearing from everyone.

Photography merit badge

One of the many merit badges we are doing is the photography merit badge. This is a very fun merit badge because we get to learn all about cameras and the different settings on them; plus we get to take pictures. This picture is of Matt D. trying to make my camera blur(: (but I have such an awesome camera that won't blur)lol

Memorial day parade

The memorial day parade went very well. We followed behind the cub scouts, bearing our flags high. Matt Leno carried the American flag, and Matt Dustin carried the troop flag. Paul and I were the guards.

Yard Sale

The yard sale this year went great despite the rain. There were many items, and lots of helpers. I think all of the boy scouts found something cool to take home with them as well. I think we made somewhere around $900; which is great because all of that $ will be going towards our Gettysburg trip this year.

March Court of Honor

The Court of Honor went well, with Ben W. getting second class, Ryan G. and Nate P. getting first class, and Paul B. Life rank. Unfortunately, Paul had the flu and wasn't able to come. The skits were very funny (especially the Chief Purple Chicken skit.)
Ryan and David did a great job on planning everything for this Court of Honor. We also had the privilege of hearing Mr. Leno talk about the trip to Gettysburg and D.C. for this years summer camp.

A Slide Show From Past Adventures

Klondike 2010

We joined up with troop 173 to
host the 2010 Klondike. It was
a lot of fun to help judge the
different categories.
The theme was based on the
100th anniversary of
scouting. Some of the categories or stations that we
had come up with were fur identification, tree
identification, first aid, fire building, map symbols,
and knot identification. At the end of the day we had a big game of capture the flag, which was lots of fun.

Blog Introduction

For a school project in English class I was asked to create a website or blog , so I decided to make a Troop blog. I am also taking the communications merit badge and one of the requirements was to create a web page. I knew we already had a Yahoo! website, but it's not really designed to be fun or exciting. It's main purpose is for the business side of scouts. This blog is especially for scouts and their families who want to see pictures of Boyscout events and read about some of the fun and interesting things we do. So welcome to the Troop 777 Blog! And don't laugh too much at me as I learn how to blog.
